As long as there is a high profit margin for high carb foods such as sugar, high fructose corn syrup, wheat, rice, corn, and the food "products" that are made from them, the so called "experts" will always be pressed into the service of the food industry to promote these items as "healthy".

I've been doing almost exactly what you talk about and in the last seven days I've lost 11.4 lbs already. I create a calorie deficit as well, but I have a request. Could you please make a video about how to find an accurate basal metabolic rate and what deficit is best from there? Most websites have a basic calculator - are these good enough? I don't want to stall out based on calories. Thanks so much!

@Byebyecarbs Thanks, just trying to clarify. I definitely see your point, I mean, Diabetes is on the rise.

@heavydusty 66% of the protein we eat converts to carbohydrates but this is a slow process and it is gradualy released into the bloodstream whereas all carbohydrates, even the low-glycemic index ones cause enough insulin release to slow or stop fat burning
It seems to me you consume more glycation than high carb eaters since your cooking your animal foods, and cooked animal food contain Advanced glycation end-products.

@patryksky The body produces about 225 mg per day of methyl glyoxal. For food to match this number of milligrams one would have to consume 1129 servings of carbonated soft drink or 1800 servings per day of toast to equal amount produced by natural physiological processes. Such exaggerated quantities are clearly beyond the capacity of even the heartiest appetites. It is clear that food sources of methyl glyoxal are inconsequential in comparison with the bodies actual daily production.
