Cluster Computer hardware Test.

I had a bunch of old computers in my basement, and I wanted a project to do so I am currently building a compute cluster for usage at home. Tonight, I fired up the hardware to make sure everything worked properly.
Next step is to get the OS and server packages installed. I will be using CentOS and the RedHat Cluster Suite.

This is just 6 of the possible 30 machines I could add to the cluster.

So this is kinda in the same idea as networked rendering?

@czstealth yeah, kinda... but instead of having to render over the network, its all done internally on "one" machine.

After I get all the software working properly, I am going to start building a custom chassis for it all.

all of that to get the processing power of a dual core processor thats been obsolete for over 2 years now but it is better than seeing all those computers hit the scrapyard. It is fun to screw around with shit to see what you can make it do
