  • @albob6666 I find your comments perplexing, since John Wesley was very vocal in his condemnation of the slave trade in the UK.

  • you can't study history only in sections. you have to take it as a whole. that was then this is now. if you're looking for 'perfection' in this world you'll never find it.

  • @albob6666 you are right about the church. isnt the main thing about the church forgiveness? forgive the past its the only way to make your future brighter.

  • Im Creole But Mostly Black And Im A United Methodist

  • This video is part propaganda by United Methodist Communications. I'm doing research on the Methodist Church for a U.S. history class, and this video leaves out an important fact that many Methodist churches in the South supported slavery. To gloss over facts that are "unfavorable" is dishonest, especially when trying to promote how helpful rural churches were to plantation workers, the confederate army, and freed slaves.all the kids in school are white in those pics. wtf UMC? forget something?

  • I agree this is wonderful as I love the small churches. They are rich in history and have loving congregations. We need to find a way to keep them open. They may not be large in numbers, but they are souls that deserve the same care as our large churchs.

  • This is an excellent video. It is long past time when the UMC began to focus on rural churches as well as large urban megachurches. These small churches have been a part of the lifeblood of their communities and we need to find ways to support them rather than trying to close them.
