After some awesome FMVs I fight Nova Dragon. Like the Red Dragons and Silver Dragon before it, it has but one attack I can survive, and it can be put to sleep. If I survive long enough to use Night, barring the rare occurence that Night misses the enemy, I have all but won. With max speed it will almost certainly get in a turn, and that must be Psychokinesis.

It would have been nice if Steiner hadn't been the one to get KOed at the beginning, but at least it wasn't Quina. Otherwise, the battle went very well. Just use Charge! when Quina's ATB is almost full, then during the animation have Zidane and Freya attack and use Night again. I have Zidane give Ethers because Freya is doing more damage.

Zidane masters Detect. Quina masters Body Temp and Jelly.

btw u failed to get the a madain ring from gargan roo and failed to max out eiko's stats by jeopardizing marcus's glitch. Perfect game my ass, lol. MMy eiko got 160hp at lvl 1 and all her stats are at 30+

I did nothing of the sort. First of all, you can get a Madain's Ring in Fossil Roo, not Gargan Roo. Second, the item isn't unique, you can dig up 99 if you so want. Second, if you think it's possible to use the Marcus glitch to it's full potential AND get the Excalibur II in a perfect game, you have conceptualization of time.

What level are you? I don't remember being as weak when I fought it.

This is a low level game. Zidane is level 22, Freya 25, Steiner and Quina are both level 1. You probably weren't nearly that low when you played.

noob i beat this thing with my 7 characters at lvl1 except for zidane he's at lvl 35. and oh yeah, i win and still got the ex2 at 11:12

Oh, Night can miss. I had it miss three times before I finally put this guy away. And going through all those cut scenes gets pretty annoying.

But once you are past this, you're pretty much in the clear.
