Very short glimpse of the Dixieland Crackerjacks on TV. Christmas, December 27. 2004
http://www.dixielandcrackerjacks.com
Only known TV performance of Bert Brandsma playing soprano saxophone.
Slidin' Selena - trombone
Peter Ivan - cornet
Bert Brandsma - soprano saxophone
Mark Smit - sousaphone
Rob ten Seldam - banjo
Recorded live at Villa Arena, Amsterdam
The Dixieland Crackerjacks performed many times at Villa Arena. Because this was filmed during Christmas not all regular members were available. Peter Ivan, Mark Smit and Rob ten Seldam were kind enough to help out.
That's how it goes with TV, cut away everything to the minimum. It's funny though that at least there is proof that I own a soprano, haha.
Kind regards,
Bert

It's not a matter of not liking to play soprano. Most of the time I play bass sax, clarinet or alto. At present I have some big band work on tenor as well. It's quite seldom when people ask me to play baritone or soprano.

Oo, that's a soprano sax? Ah well, you said it was curved haha. Very cool! You don't like to play it often though? Or just never really have the opportunity?
