Actually his impact is even bigger, the 1 billion lives was an estimate when he won the Nobel Peace Prize in the early 80's. By now it's probably closer to 3-4 billion, as his crops are still and will still be used to feed the poorest people in the worst regions of the world. This month's Time magazine, with Glenn Beck's crybaby ass on the cover, has a few paragraphs on Bourlag beneath, yes you guessed it, yet another Patrick Swayze piece. (Sigh)

Yeh. It's because Patrick Swayze was more well-known but even then, Norman Borlaug should have been more well-known when he was alive.
