pretty good. its hard to do a song from such an acomplished group like the band and do it well
-
I'll bet it would have been nice if the load mouth asses would have listened instead of TALKED.

Very beautiful cover of an amazing, passionate piece of music
Thank you

It was Britain, and all of those colonies were British possessions. So yes, the Americans did fight this war-- though they were not separate nation.
In NS and NB, there were several New Englanders that fought against the French. In fact, it was New Englanders who made most up the merchant class of NS. Further, they all fished Grand Banks. So yes, the country that became America did fight the French in this war.

i love richard shindells version

The original colonies of the USA were part of the British Empire at the time. I know this, because the young George Washington got his butt kicked by the French not very far from where I'm typing this.

Acadians were the first Europeans to come to North America....American''s didn't deport us....England DID....we were deported all over the world....look up your history.
I am Acadian and I am living in Nova Scotia Canada...the orinial ACADIA.
The Brits tried to get rid of us but we came back, a stronger people.. We Acadians are all over the world..we are still here. No matter how much the Brits tried to get rid of us.

Actually it was England they battled. Acadia at the time being NB and NS had a lot of Acadians deported to the south.
Lovely job- on a difficult masterpiece. I've done it in F, sans capo, your arrangement and performance has a lot of smart and soul.

Thanks :)
I see this was the live version we did in Leiden in 2008. I think we kicked the set of with it so we'd have still been warming up.
We gave it a rest for a while but have just started adding it back into the set so it's feeling fresh again. M
