Most freshwater fish put up such a pathetic fight. That pike didn't even pull drag! A barracuda, trevally or even a goatfish the same size as that pike would have pulled drag and at least given a fight.

@Coughline5 calm down fishing is for fun and the fish would not feel the hook because the cartilage is strong and does not really have nerves in it. and plus atleast he is letting the fish go. If you have nothing good to say about fishing stop looking it up. all kinds of fishing is fun. Jesus was a fishman. Why don't you confront him. He is one of the forefathers of fishing. I like to catch and release. Think before you speak it will get you somewhere in life!!!!!!!

@teet100 anything in these planet is a resource...catch n release may not totally stop the dwindling and limited resources of fish that we have right now but at least it will prolong our enjoyment of the sport/hobby. Even the plentiful panfish can be wipe out if all anglers fish for food. Catch n release is the way to go - if you want food lots of commercial fish in the market
