The winner of the 2012 U.S. presidential election will risk "unpleasant surprises" if he fails to pay sufficient attention to Africa, says CFR's John Campbell.

Thanks for openly admitting to the Kony scam. And yes, "Africa is the venue for more peace keeping missions..." just like you people did in Libya and are about to do in Syria. Steal their resources in the name of humanitarianism and leave the countries embroiled in civil war. Have fun in hell.

oh and by America's interest in African diseases I'm pretty sure what you meant to say was more money being handed to big pharma.

Africa is the continent for big business opportunity at present. Take East Africa for instance. Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania and Rwanda have many new university graduates which translates into a specialized labor force for finance/investment banking, agriculture, real estate, civil engineering, tourism (including ecotourism), information security, education, metallurgy to mention but a few sectors. A newly growing middle class ensures a ready market is available for goods and services.

Thank you for this video. Okay so, the US funds the UN and gives it more legtimacy, and then gives more power to African Nations, now we need to give more aid to Africa to coax and bribe these nations into giving us back the power that we gave them to prop up our own global power base. What an interesting concept.
