@herbap0tamuss.... Cereal man?????? Chet Atkins direct quote: "Scotty plays Chet better than Chet...".... Yes he did in fact say that... and i wouldn't consider there to be any "bad notes" as Scotty never misses A ONE ;) ... He's a wonderful man and the most talented player to ever touch the guitar... Trust me I know him :)

@herbap0tamuss I totally agree. Chet found only the best notes and played them beautifully. He really loved the tone of the guitar. Sometimes he omitted playing anything and threw in breaks only to play the most beautiful arpeggios or runs afterwards. A true genious

@Kingding6 There sure have been a lot of great ones, haven't there? That's why I love the guitar. I mean, all great tenor players sound like Coltrane and Brecker these days. I could think of 15 guitar geniuses who don't sound like each other and Scotty is one of them.

Good, but just proof why Chet was the best, not because of his speed or technical ability which he most certainly posessed, but rather his ear. Chet only played the good notes!
