http://www.wildflower.org/ - Texas poppy-mallow can have tap roots that reach several feet into the Tivoli sand they favor to access water. During a June rescue mission where 54 plants were transported to the Lady Bird Johnson Wildflower Center for preservation and restoration efforts, a few plants like the one in the video had short enough roots to be potted up at the Ballinger site they originated from.
