Gretchen Wilson - Redneck Woman - Guitar Cover

Well, I'm British so I'm not a redneck and I ain't no high class broad. This is a fun song to play along to and the original guitars come off nicely with the Tascam guitar trainer. I've used quite a distorted tone, mainly to hide the sloppy timing and slightly dubious pull-offs. I actually find the cross string jumps quite tricky as I'm more used to playing rock - I'm not even sure whether this song should be played fingerstyle or with a pick.

Gretchen Wilson is an excellent singer. I wish she would devote herself to rock rather than country.

Good on you, mate. The song sounds better your way. On the Gretchen Wilson original the guitar is almost mixed right out of existance when there is some nice riffs in there. The distortion you use makes the song more hard driving and warm - a bit like a redneck woman, actually.
