On Saturday night, October 1, 2011 the Vanguard Cancer Foundation sponsored its annual gala fundraiser to honor the work of Robert A. Nagourney, M.D.

It was held at Stevens Steak and Seafood House with the best stand-up comics, a raffle, and an amazing auction. 350 people attended including celebrities and many whose lives Dr. Nagourney saved.

I was one of them. As a physician and a survivor of stage iV kidney cancer, I was asked to tell my amazing story and how I was saved by a simple test which has been scandalously ignored by mainstream oncology.
