  • First release had a red led and two AA batteries, it lasted longer than the later A battery ones. Later ones didn't have the light. It was used to grab your attention with all the blinking lights on the shelf; was a great market ploy. I had the original and the light lasted close to two years. The original cover was a little bit different, not much. The original also had a book with concept art by Storm Thorgerson. His maybe slower due to low battery

  • Damn dude that thing is tore up . Mine looks different and the light flashes way faster.

  • You dumb sh*t. There was a cardboard sleave that extended the whole box to the opening. There's a rip on the right side of mechanism. The cardboard sleeve, flush to the inside of the box, extended the whole way to the opening. You don't need a screwdriver if you hadn't ripped it off. You just grab sleeve and pull it out. I guess that if your stupid enough to tear sleeve off, then you would need instructions on how to change the battery; as simple as it is in the first place.

  • Thanks - fixed. Would have done it much earlier if I'd realised how easy it was. Thanks again.

  • thank you very much :D
