  • I saw Husker Du at the Cannery in Nashville probably a month or two before this. I was pretty disappointed actually -- I was a big Zen Arcade fan and all they played was stuff off of Warehouse, which I always felt a) was not that great an album to begin with, and b) was badly recorded.

  • VERY badly recorded... whilst I love all the Husker albums it seems like they were cursed in the studio, production wise. Warehouse just sounds so thin and sterile, it's got NO balls whatsoever. Still love it though!

  • Greg's 'stache rules! :)

  • "These Important Years"

...now *THAT'S* how your write a fucking pop song.

Brilliant vocal phrasing from Bob, terrific harmonizing from Grant, great bass lines, and memorable riff's from the guitar.

  • @chokito91 good on ya

  • @CrackWilding I'm not a zen arcade fan...... I'M A HUSKER DU FAN!!!!

  • Born in '87 here as well. Hey, is there a live version of the song 'Newest Industry' by them available? I'll even take a decent cover of the song by another band. I can't find one.

A supernatural group, The Husker Boys. So many things seemed to work against them (not least of all themselves). Truly, one of the best acts in musical history, and though this is a cliche, it's true: they are underrated in every way.

  • go greg!

  • yup the best and by far at the sst days the fastest and hardest outside the mighty black flag

  • the best band so far in my lifetime, genius.

  • hell yes
