  • Big deal, so they work on improving their live vocals. They nailed it in the studio and clearly they just need to practice on getting it consistently, which just takes time & repetition, something they have both of. Plus good point that the studio version has more than two vocal tracks, I think four tracks probably, harmonizing each other, so there's that point also, understandably.

  • @akathasamurai thats a good point, and you also cant forget that this show was the first time they played any of these songs live

  • You have to understand too, this is during a set that is mostly composed of faster, more aggressive songs. When you shift to something mellow like that and your adrenaline is pumping, it gets difficult to control your voice.

I do agree though, it is pitchy and they need to work on it.

  • Would anyone happen to know the tabulature for steel that sleeps?

  • slow start up but I think Swollen and Halo was pretty on. I can't wait to see more live vids of the blue record since Baroness is not swinging through my town any time soon.

  • yeah but the point is they're just pitchey and weak

  • @RockNFknRoll at the start yeah, but as the song goes on they get better. Plus the album vocals on steel that sleeps sounds like a chorus line of dudes (effects/more guys) so its kinda impossible for it to sound the same.

  • yeah they need to work on their live vocals. this doesn't live up to the greatness of the album at all

  • gotta love that guitar melody in the beginning of swollen halo

  • I love Baroness, and all their albums are tight, but they need to get together on the vocals here.
