A view of Sadowsky Outboard Bass Preamp.
This model is about 10 years old, and has been replaced by a newer model, but if you find one, I highly recommend it to beef up your tone.
Works especially well on
passive old Fenders.
( Just ask forexample Marcus Miller ) =_0

It looks exactly like the Fishman model b. I think this preamp is meant for use of accoustic bass or stand up bass.

Well it depends on how much you play, battery quality of course, but mostly on if you remember to unplug the cord after playing. But I would say anything from six month to over a year. To be honest I really don't know :)
