Jet City Woman by Queensrÿche Drum Cover by M. Carlos.

Played on the left, "Metal" side of the "Hawaiian Frankenstein".

This is NOT a note-for-note cover. It's part "wanted to do it" and part "request". Basically, if the band asked me to play the song "on the fly", this is what I would do. :p

  • @ezelder - Thanks! :)

  • @xymbalreborn LOL. . . .nice cover.

  • @ezelder - XD

  • @xymbalreborn Middle school? Dang KID, I was a sophamore in college. :-)

  • @zell1luk - Yeah. It's difficult to copy anyone perfectly for that matter. I try to keep the "essence" of the original but I can't help but to add my own thing to it. I hope at least I've managed to keep that in check. I can't stand it when dudes play something completely different from the original just for the sake of "showing off". Xp

  • @xymbalreborn Checked out all your A7X covers, pretty good but it's VERY hard to perfect the REV's playing style. I have a couple friends that drum and they say he has the hardest style that they have tried to play.

  • @theshipsdrummer - You know, I think we do have the same kit (different finish though)! Coated Emperors should be fine. The only thing about coated heads that I didn't like is how it gets transferred to the other heads and cymbals. I only had my snare head coated because I used brushes for jazzier stuff. Look into getting the Black Suede Heads. I recently changed all my batter head to them. Look for my most recent videos. I'm using them there.

  • @xymbalreborn hey man I have the same kit as you (of course not the same configuration, but definitely rockstar dx kit from that era/period. I've got blackdot skins on the toms right now but want to move away from controlled sound skins, am considering putting coated emperors all the way around, what do you think?
