  • Sadly it seems there is still a good chance that most if not all of the buildings are to be replaced. Sign up to the alumni newsletter, you will get an update on what Bishop Burton, put on the table. Apparently the DOM Building is too costly to maintain and to retrofit for modern earthquake standards and yet they have the money to build a multi billion dollar shopping centre in Salt Lake City and renovate a perfectly good Temple...Odgen at a cost of a new one...probably $20+ million USD.

  • does anyone wnat to elobaorate for my previous comment???????

  • I have a question... How come NONE of the SEED of ALL the labour missionaries DID NOT HAVE FREE SCHOOLING HERE????? From what the PROPHET had said at the time of labouring that was SUPPOSE to happen BUT NEVER DID! Bloody Management I say was greedy and that's probably why they wanted to destroy the building???? GREEDY GUTS BRETHEREN! GRRRRREEDY GUTS. From what I heard an old ko matua named MATT TARAWA SAVED CHURCH COLLEGE from being destroyed. TIIIII HEEEEIIII MAUUUUUURI OOOOOORRRAAAAAAAA!

  • Kia Ora Dear:

Wonderful dedication: The word went out and the saints answered. Food came in for families in the camp. They lived the united order. The Lord needed workers, and they came from all walks of life. Families came to to help work on the Temple. It is not just about buildings it is about the "Labor of Love" and the sacrifice of those in the past who have blessed the lives of others today. Temple View, the cradle of the church in NZ. The Prophet has heard our prayers, Arohamai Ra

  • kia ora bro....

i'm currently seeking more labour missionaries recordings... appreciate any assistance u could render...

  • thanks Ra for sharing these wonderful photos and your equally wonderful sentiments - some time in the future the story of the church building missionaries in NZ will be properly and formally told and as David O McKay reputedly said it is one of the great stories of sacrifice in the church in the latter days. None can challenge the heart and spirit nor the quality of the workers and also the work - truly a legacy to go forward with for our and future generations.

  • hey Brother Rakai...if what you say are true then i totally agree...buutT

our former prophet G.B Hinkley confirmed closure to the school and as much as i love ccnz(because i do)..what ever the prophet says is inspired through the spirit and is true council from our heavenly father..i think we should really think about who we're really protesting against..not man but God..lots of love though

  • I never knew of these thingz Rakai..I was a dormie for 4 years in Boyack..82-85..I know college it was my home and ive always known the buildings to be sound, secure and warm..at the recent convention i stayed in Oakes and theres nothing wrong with the place..maybe a little touch ups but thats just natural with any structure..love these foto'z...the labour missionaries and saints who built this skool have my utmost respect and gratitude..Love our college to bits..
