A fellow tuber asked me some questions about his new Denali Road Bike's shifting, so here's a video on the matter.

  • OOHH i see

i was going to say when i first saw the video "WOW, your chain and derailleur is DIRTY!" lol

oh and you said something about your chain? you should replace them.. if you ride it 4 or 5 times a week, the chain will only last a year and if you hardly ride it, it should last you about 2 or 3 years, cause the chain stretches and can ruin your front crank and cassette

  • @wigglyfruitcup I haven't seen any wear on the gears, though I might replace it soon as they're like $10 or so at Walmart. The chain in this video was a Walmart purchased chain(the Bell Speedy Chain)

  • im curious, can one upgrade the gears to gears more suited for racing bikes? im looking at this and the victory models for my pruce range but wanted to upgrade as parts wear out.

  • @wigglyfruitcup That's basically what I did when I use spray degreaser. I know it looks kinda dirty in the video, but it doesn't seem to affect performance.

  • you should clean your chain/rear derailleur

but nice vid on showing rear derailleur tips
