Here is live recording of me leading worship with my good friend Kelly Graham at his church in Crawfordsville, OR. The beautiful weather brought the church outdoors for the day so we set up on the lawn in front of the church and had a potluck afterwards. This song is my adaptation of the first hymn of thousands that Charles Wesley wrote back in 1739. The hymn number references the full hymn in the United Methodist Hymnal, otherwise known as "Where Shall My Wondering Soul Begin". I hope you enjoy my slightly more modern approach.
Lyrics:
Hymn #342
Where shall my wondering soul begin?
How shall I all to heaven aspire?
A slave redeemed from death and sin,
A brand plucked from eternal fire
O how shall I the goodness tell,
Father, which thou to me has shown?
That I, a child of wrath and hell,
Should be called a child of God
Should be called a child of God
Outcasts of men, to you I call,
Harlots, and publicans, and thieves!
He spreads his arms wide to embrace us all;
All us sinners his grace we receive
How shall I equal triumphs raise,
Or sing my great Deliverer's praise?
Words based on the first hymn by Charles Wesley, found today as Hymn #342 in the United Methodist Hymnal.

Awesome video! I am currently reading a book on the life of Charles Wesley, and was curious to know how this hymn sounded like. You guys did a great job adapting this song, which has such a powerful message on God's grace and mercy. God bless you!

@drquijada77 Glad you enjoyed the song. There is perhaps a better video of us playing it if you go to my channel page and look in the "Living Room Concert" playlist. We recorded this song in the studio and it is due out early next year on our hymns project CD (modernized several hymns in similar fashion) called "Hymnody". Blessings and grace!
