The Sleeping Beauty of East Finchley - Trailer

Joans only escape from looking after her elderly mother is singing along to her records. Patricia, a nurse who comes to Joans house to attend her mother, hears Joans amazing voice and persuades her to come to a rehearsal of Patricias choir. But it is only when she gets there that Joan realises that its a lesbian choir called The Friends of Dusty. Eventually, Joan joins the Dusties and perhaps finds love as well.

i performed in the musical oliver twist iwith josie when she was nansy, she is a beautifull girl with a beautiful personality and so very funny, i miss u girl xxx

a wonderful movie indeed, i agree!

i saw it today at the public world premiere in munich. loved the touching story, the two main characters, the atmosphere, the story-telling, the humor and the singing - which particularly was superb and absolutely breath-taking!

I was lucky enough to catch the preview at the Riverside Studios today, and have to say the film was immensely enjoyable. Josie Walker has an amazing voice, and there were moments of both pathos and humour throughout.

Being in a choir (the Pink Singers), I understand the magic of singing with other people, and since the film also featured two of our members, and had Various Voices London 2009 as the backdrop, it is a definite winner in my eyes!

Bravo and well done.
