Hero Worship: Supergirl

Virtually every American child grows up reading comic books. Some never outgrow it. Even Hollywood is deeply into comic heroes. So it shouldn't surprise us to find some extremely good illustrators behind our popular art, especially when the subjects are scantily clad ladies. Here are some of our top illustrators and artists celebrating a female super person who is NOT generally considered one of the over-endowed sexy ladies. Supergirl is usually depicted as a slim, pert girl-next-door, though she can be quite sexy in the hands of some artists. A variety of characters have appeared as Supergirl, but the most familiar version is that of Kara Zor-El, the last survivor of Argo City on the planet Krypton.

Supergirl by Ian Churchil and M Turner great art, I liked linda danvers as supergirl,

the first issues with Kara Zor-El were very good (jeph Loeb), later the stories went downhill (puckett)

Power Girl's way too aggressive :P talking about the JSA i like Stargirl and Cyclone :)

With all of her costume changes over the decades, the only one that ever stands the test of time in any decade is the original all blue she wore the first ten years of her existance. The other outfits end up looking dated once a new decade has arrived.
