Hey. I am being tested for PCOS right now. I am TTC.. my doctor has told me I am too overweight to have a baby. I dont think thats possible.. but it brings me down so much.

I have seen women who weigh well over 400 pounds to get pregnant. "Too overweight" is a load of crap! Good luck with the testing and I hope you don't have PCOS!

Wow, your experience sounds exactly like mine so far. My DH and i have been TTC #1 since March 07. After lots of doctor changes im finally onto the right track and i know that i have PCOS and DH has issues as well. Had my Laparoscopy and HSG this week, my tubes are clear. Now we wait until about January next year and we are going to start IVF :(

Good luck to you on your IVF journey! As far as doctors go, they really need to get their butts in gear! I watched a program out here tonight and it was all about how roughly 1/2 of all doctors want to quit their job. That's just crazy!

u know ur still very sweet but i feel so bitter now, i hate it when they lose my paper work when i get an appointment fter 2 - 3 months a refferal acccording to them and when i get mistakenly refffered to the wrong dept :'( they have done it to an extent where i was suppose to have internal scan they made me go for an ultrasound , i hate it i wish i cud afford it privately or i cud just get sumthing else n get an attention of someone resposible who wud listen to what is actuallly wrong here

hell no being overweight has nothing to do with it . ur doctor is a tard plan and simple ofcourse being a heathy weight is better for birthing and such but it does not kill ur chance's of geting prego

i have been on the birth control pill for 4 years and came off of it in june 2008, it is now march and i have not had a period but light spotting like it was the end of my period about 2 weeks ago. i am not trying to concieve so she told me to get back on the pill because i need this to generate a period! she also said it was very common. i am not very fond of getting back on it, do you have any advice?

Only time I've heard something like that is on a show on television where people had babies and didn't know they were pregnant. The only thing they came up with for one of the cases was that she'd just lost 35 lbs at the time she would have conceived which they think caused her to ovulate. She had been told she was infertile. I've heard people have more estrogen when they are heavier, I don't know how much truth there is to that.
