I still think that Strongarm will be looked back upon as THE most underrated hardcore band of all time.
They not only influenced bands they were associated with (Shai Hulud, Further Seems Forever) but they influenced hardcore and metal as a whole.
There are so many bands that rip off Strongarm today, it makes me sick. Strongarm started infusing melody into hardcore back in '95!

@theweakarefree it's Shai Hulud that people rip off. Strongarm is virtually unheard of in today's scene (because of their beliefs of course). No one can touch these guys musically.

Anyone know what they're doing today? Heard the Further Seems Forever dissolved. I spoke with the original singer about a year ago. Apparently he is pastoring at a Calvary Chapel somewhere in SoFla. The last singer was the same. Ministering somewhere in Canada. As for the rest, don't know what they're doing.

I was at that show. Those guys were amazing, hands down one of the most unfluential HXC bands from Florida along with Shai Hulud, Morning Again, Sleeping by the Riverside and Poison the Well. Those were the days. But hey, singing about girls and killing yourself is great too.

Absolutely. You have to think about all the bands they themselves influenced, or had direct connections with.
Shai Hulud, and non-hardcore bands like Further Seems Forever, New Found Glory, Dashboard Confessional, etc. Think about where those bands would be without Strongarm.
