@MaharishiMahaYogi can't put a price on him!

78 in Atl @ The Fabulous Fox had Patty Smythe open, and 81 was front row with the Stray Cats...both were phenomenal live with less than a 4000 person venue...

Anybody understand the lyrics starting at 2:40? How do they go?

@broadband0118 I completely agree with you re: TSTP of '72. I think I commented somewhere here that the 72 USA shows, not to mention the European jaunt in '73, were simply magical. I probably should have said that the '78 and '81 tours were the last time the band was TRULY The Rolling Stones and not what they "evolved" into--even though I do love that vid of Lisa Fisher (sp?) and Mick doing "Gimme Shelter", which may have been in '95. We are blessed to have had 50 years of this band!!!!
@rhoadsmusic Pocket change, the dudes worth 90 million.

The '78 and the '81 tours were, IMO, the last "true" great Stones performance, free of all of the "extra" singers--1978 was basically a "Some Girls" promotion, but the band was so tight--I981 the Stones played a few more of their immense catalogue, and since I saw them in Rutherford, NJ with Tina Turner opening up for them, I have to give the nod to 1981 being the last great true RS live shoe--but 1978 was better musically and paid homage to the boy's last great LP...Great performance here!
