David Cameron and Gordon Brown

My Source is http://www.Bloomberg.com Britain votes today in an election that polls show may produce no parliamentary majority for the first time since 1974, leaving the fate of Prime Minister Gordon Brown and Conservative David Cameron with the Liberal Democrats.

Four polls released last night showed the Conservatives winning the popular vote and the most seats, while short of a majority.

The TV debates made a difference, the people see that Gordon Brown is often verbally beaten by David Cameron and this has cost him dearly in these last few days.

The pound has fallen 6.9 percent against the dollar this year amid concern that a hung Parliament may produce a government thats too weak to fix Britains finances.

With the economy recovering from its longest recession on record, Brown said Camerons call for budget cuts this year risked renewed contraction.

Nick Clegg thinks that David Cameron and Gordon Brown sound exactly the same! Oil and water I say!

The Institute for Fiscal Studies said April 27 that Labour had specified just 13 percent of the cuts necessary to reduce the deficit, the Conservatives 18 percent and the Liberal Democrats 26 percent.
It would have been a very brave politician who came out and told the voters the straight truth, said Steven Fielding, director of the Center for British Politics at Nottingham University. So they didnt.

Negotiations
If the election produces no clear winner, parties will begin negotiating tomorrow to see who can form a government.
That could take more than a week. Parliament isnt due to sit until May 18, to give time for negotiations.

Cameron, 43, warned against a hung Parliament, saying a vote for the Liberal Democrats would allow Brown to retain power.
Clegg, 43, said it would be preposterous for Brown, 59, to stay in office if Labour finishes third in the popular vote.

Brown remains prime minister until it is clear he cant form a government, at which point he would submit his resignation to Queen Elizabeth II and advise her on whom she should summon to try to form one, likely in that situation to be Cameron.

David Cameron Tory leader within grasp of power and Gordon Brown Head Of Labour Prime minister of England at the moment are struggling through these last few yards as the election draws to a painful and uncertain close.

What keeps them going amongst all of the madness?

Passion....

Passion is the secret ingredient for any politician that has the courage to stand up for their country and make a difference.

It's passion that keeps Gordon Brown and David Cameron debating and debating and debating and debating.

Passion is what makes them get up at 4 in the morning, passion is what makes them keep coming back for more abuse, they love what they do. They love it so much that they are willing to forgo basic needs like sleep and privacy to defend their party.

That takes COURAGE.

If only all of us could have as much courage as Gordon Brown and David Cameron the world would be even more amazing with more amazing courageous people making a difference and as Gordon Brown would say "Saving the World."

In a lot of ways he is saving the world more than most people would or could. Most of us just watch and criticize. You can't judge someone till you walk in their shoes.

  • I think one of the most challenging part of life is finding your passion. Most people hate thier jobs because they just see it as a paycheck. Those who already know what they want to do are very lucky.

  • Passionate people with a clear moral compass are quickly excluded from the selection process, our society feeds on mediocrity and encourages ignorance and suspicion, our schools do not educate, our medicines do not heal and our food does not nourish, you talk of success in a society that is failing on every level, an oxymoron at best. Happiness and success are not interchangeable concepts, happiness is when you stop trying to succeed and start learning to live.

  • Passionate debate on PR, tell Nick Clegg what you really think.
