Don, Denny, Scott, and I decided to get out of the house and run Caesar Creek, which was at a good level.
Caesar Creek is a Class II creek below Caesar Creek Lake dam. The creek is Class II, not because of rapids, but because of the large amount of strainers that you have to avoid (the creek was mostly clear when we went down). The level shown here is 7.5 feet on the gauge. Much higher than this and the creek starts to get into the trees making swimming a bad proposition.
The run is just under 3 miles. The first ledge you see is almost immediate and good for surfing. Other than that there are a couple of drops that are fun, but not very hazardous.
