This video is the finest Mary Millar tribute of all. It is a mixture of Geezworld's original video tribute and my tribute video together to make a really good video to remember a lovely, warm hearted woman by the name of Mary Millar who played Rose 2 in a BBC comedy show of the early 1990's called Keeping Up Appearances. And unlike any of the other tribute videos this one has Mary Millar singing a beautiful song by the name of Beauty And The Beast from the london cast recording of the musical version of Beauty And The Beast in 1996/1997. Mary Millar passed away on the 10th of november 1998 of ovarian cancer. Neither Geezworld234 or Adam060756 claim any true ownership of this video content. It is for entertainment viewing only and is not a money making thing. We both dedicate this video to Mary Millar. Feel free to rate and post comments enjoy!!

  • I loved watching her on Keeping Up Appearances. I know she was married. Did she have any kids?

  • One daughter, I think her name was Lucy.

  • one question who played the new rose then? at some point she must have gotten really sick for somebody else to play her part. didn't know she had cancer at all i just thought they just wanted a new person for the role. now i know. i still watch it every Friday at 9:00 pm on channel 21ny in NY

  • I think you got a bit muddled up but i'll be more than happy to answer your question.

There was another actress called Shirley Stelfox who played ''Rose'' before Mary Millar played her, Mary Millar was the replacement and second ''Rose''. Shirley Stelfox only played Rose in series 1 and she left and then Mary Millar played Rose for the rest of the show.

Mary became ill a few years after the show finished it's final season.

  • Best tribute ever!!!!! I think what really did it for me was her singing. I had heard people say she was good, but this was the first time I've actually heard her sing. And the "Goodnight love" at the end of the song just rips at your heartstrings doesn't it? Bravo my friend!!

  • Thanks but I couldn't of made the video without the help of my dear friend Geezworld234 as she e-mailed me the song and I used her tribute video to mix in with mine to make a really powerful Mary Millar video. She told me about the song and I wanted to hear it so she sent it to me and I now think it's the best song ever!I know the feeling trust me, everytime I hear this song I have tears melting down my face because I think of her career and all the things that could of been had she lived.

  • 62's too young for someone with such a nice arse.

  • Beautiful. Thanks.

  • beautiful lady. I love her work.

  • She was a wonderful signer and actress. She even stared as Madame Giry in the Original Production of Phantom Of The opera- What a Voice :)

  • shes terribly be missed.its has been 12years and still shes left a legacy her one fantastic part as rose will truly be remembered down the road for a long time.

  • Oh what an absolutely beautiful tribute to such a talented lady. Thank you so much for posting this. How nice to hear her singing too as she was such a versatile performer. This is such a beautiful song and her rendition is absolutely touching. Death always makes me uneasy even though it's a part of life. She strikes me as someone who was extremely brave throughout her precious life, even through the cancer that took her life. I am so grateful to have been exposed to her remarkable talent.

  • She would have been 75 today had she still been alive . Just what would she be like now ? We will never know .

  • what happen to her?
