i have 44 keloids throughout my entire body. [most are on my shoulders and chest but i do have some on my stomach, lower back and legs] Most of them are small
They all originated from when i had a bad case of chicken pox in kindergarten. I've never experienced any pain or extreme itching in the areas.
4 years ago i developed a large one on the back of my left earlobe [the classic area] and had to get it surgically removed. The keloid hasn't grown back and the way mine look has never bothered me

@OS253 oh and I got silicone pads (: Haven't tried them yet, because I still have some small wounds from the injections

@OS253 for about a year now. I always knew it was gonna take a long time. At least two years. Maybe you should see your doctor and ask if they know a good dermatologist who can treat your scars like they do mine. I hope I helped! (if I made any grammar mistakes, I'm Dutch:P)

@OS253 I have about 12 keloids on my chest. They are bright red and itch when my allergies come up. Ik DO wear tank tops and low cut shirts, beacause I'm not ashamed of it. But I do understand the agony of people staring, so I actually started wearing scarfs more frequently. My scars get treated by a dermatologist. I get injections and two lasers every 6 weeks. It's painful as hell, but I basically have nothing to lose. The scars have gotten slightly flatter and I've been getting treatment[1/2]

i can't wear tank tops at all but i will soon!! ok DO NOT GET SURGERY!!! it will grow back and worse. There are these things called steroid injections. You get a shot in your keiloids every month and the keloids will flatten and match your skin. But keep in mind that they won't totally disappear but that's what make up is for.

@lollipopguiwang, keloids will only develop in a different place if you injure a different place on your body. and even if you injure yourself, there is no way to tell if a keloid will develop or not. i've had keloids since my teenage years. i've learned to accept them because trust me, THEY ARE SOME STUBBORN MOFOS..LOL

the alcohol seriously work? but i tried the silicon gel.and it work on me..the keloid became smaller. so if the keloid formation is lost or became invisible, will it form at the same place again or diff places?

Thanks for the question DJuggz06. My son used the alchol as soon as he could see a keloid formation for about 3 months. Timing and the location of the scaring could determine the outcome. Keloids are so unpredictable most of the time. You never know where one will form and sometimes you will not know the reason for the keloid formation. There need to be a study on the effects of rubbing alcohol and the keloid. It has not worked on all keloid but it has worked.
keloids are the most painful fucking things in the world i have one on my chest and i want to shoot it off!!!!

Are you kidding me? My keloids on my chest and back are worst. They itch like hell. So I have to scratch it. I can't wear a tank top and any low cut shirt. People will stare at it. What kind of medical treatment are doing with your keloids? Do they work?
