Atheist Solution to Ray Comfort's Version of Darwin's "Origin of Species"

Apparently Ray Comfort has taken notice of this video and is using it to promote his own message (you can check out his atheist central blog).

I find the resultant implications of this disturbing...and interesting.

Great idea!!! I think this should be done. In fact i may consider doing it myself if given an opportunity. I love the video and the part at the end that says pet the cat, you'll feel better is awesome too. Cats are sweet!

are you sure of that? have you ever read the whole Bible and read Origin of Species, the Blind Watchmaker, the God Delusion, and The Greatest Show on Earth? The Bible is very cruel when you read chapters other than Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John.

It's unfair to compare hijacking of "Origin of Species" (with accusations of racism and such), and a good introduction to "Bible". I really don't understand why on earth these introductions for "Bible" are still not mandatory.

you make a very good point and we need mroe people like you putting things like this into proper perspective so we can reach a time where all people can be peaceful with eachother along with their beliefs though my only problem being that it assumes that the origin of species is an atheist text, though this is probably unconcious also i believe we shouldn't do as you suggest though of course i know thats not the point anyway, good job keep them coming.

FYI, everyone, Comfort's edition of Origin is missing an entire chapter.

Ripping out the intro doesn't do much to restore the text. The "by the creator" is still in the last paragraph (as in all but the actual first edition of Origin), reflecting how Darwin sucumbed to pressure from religious people.

Comfort's book is wrong in more ways than tacking on the intro.

Some stooge was kind enough to hand me a free copy at my university. I was kind enough to not punch him in the face.

I know I probably deserve a spanking for this but I haven't read Origin of Species (yet)...it's always checked out when I think to get it from the library, effing popular book!!! Anyway...I think their stupid plan will backfire in the long run. Compare any well written and thought provoking book to the bible...slam dunk anyone? Shit, compare any cutesy well illustrated children's book to the bible!  I just don't get how anyone can read it and not become an atheist.
