@xPorcelianEyesxx though i must say, if every guitar player became a "good" nuno bettencourt clone, it wouldn't bother me so much :) lol you know what i mean?

As a guitarist I don't feel I have to be different
I'm already different because I play guitar and the other guy doesn't
that means I'm at least 68.9% more likely to take your girl friend.
you can deny that but thats the hard cold reality.
now get out there and play better than me.
-
I dissagree , you have 3 octaves , that means there are 3 ways to play the same thing
it's better to see what the other guy did so that you can make changes or do something completely different.
for example I learned harmonic dissplacement from buckethead and now I get to do what I want with it.
just because you learned a technique doesn't mean you have to use it the same way as the other guy.

ACID !! I would really like to try out that guitar my favorite gplayer !

I like what he says about making your own sound etc - when it comes to faster solos I never learn the actual 'real' solo - I make my own one up. I also like to add my own little bits and bobs in to riffs because of 2 things; a) I'm nowhere near as Nuno and b) even if I was, I do NOT want to be a Nuno Knockoff
i agree 100% with what he's saying about becoming your own guitar player and making your own style instead of cloning =D
i love NUNO!

@RollEndRock He is saying that it is not the best thing for a guitar player to learn a song this way, by watching someone else, because you will then end up being an imitator of that player. The best thing to do, he says, is to learn by listening to the music and trying to play it yourself because it trains your ear and it helps you develop your own style (instead of someone else's)
