@attorneydestroyusa This is true, it does not stop the flow of oil from the pipe, any suggestions you have to stop the flow would be greatly appreciated. PBS has a featured video here on YouTube and ask for any potential solutions. The sad thing is, that the ones they call the best solutions, will not work. We don't know how to stop it and for that reason alone, we should have never drilled in this way. This was not Americans that did this, but out of control admitted felons, British Petroleum.

@JEHERETIC I am not sure what, if any chemicals are left behind. But I am pretty sure that the chemicals left behind, if any are less dangerous than the chemical dispersant they are dumping in the Gulf now, not to mention the oil itself. i keep hearing all this talk about, the oil solution to clean up the oil thats already there. whats that to help if it keeps coming back? this is just like the global warming crap, or the great pacific garbage patch. the solution is not to fix the problem, its to stop the cause. focus on stopping the leak before you focus on cleaning it up, its like brushing your teeth then eating. -_-

i know the biggest problem is not how to fix the pipe but the depth at which it is. the only thing i could think of is some sort of material, or bond, or something malleable that you could fit around the pipe, and due to the immense pressure and temperatures at this depth would compress and seal it. kinda like the plastic wrap that when you shrink it it compresses to the object when heated. maybe something rubber. if the flow is to great, clap one half, then the other. idk just random ideas.
