  • It was bad to be on Polish rule ? More than eating grass under Stalin occupation ? Or maybe better when russians destroyed Sich Zaporozhyan

  • Haha... good one- i saw it today... In this movie died more polish Hussars than in all XVII century^^ ...well sad truth is that some Poles treat Corssack like peasants (or like shit) so they create rebellion. It was shame for us (Poles) to loose so good fignters. Together we could rule all east europe but we both had make some mistakes. ;)

SLAVA UKRAINA! VIVAT POLONIA! ...and sorry for my english :P

  • Russian Propaganda.

  • Poland was not evil idiot. Russia was always the aggressive one. Open a history book. Kurwa mala.

  • The movie is great everyone should watch it(there is a movie on youtube even).Poland was really evil back then so good job Cossack slaughtering so many of them :).

  • As Gogol Said , The Pole likes the Cossack because they stopped the Mangol from attacking the Poles

  • shit film

  • and by the way - Poles always valued Cossacks for their combat skills (famous Sicz Infantry). They were often hired by King and Magnats and there was even a fixed amount of standing Cossack reginents.

Generally the Republic used em as a tool against Tatar and Turks (OTOH they were hard to control, independent and often complicated our relations with the South). It ended in XVII century when they allied with muslims from the south and later with Russians.

"Golden Age" - 2 cent. of constant war.

  • 3. Its a long story of wars, uprisings ets. 2 centuries of struggle. We were even one step from expanding the Republic from '2 nations' to '3 nations'. Adding Rus/Ukraine to the presonal union with Lithuania. The rebelions spoiled it. It would diametrically change the situation there.

It all ended when we gave these lands to Russians (eastern parts). Ended for both. We had at last peace in the Ukraine. Unfortunately for them the Russians didnt toyed with em as we. But thats another story.
