Scientologists have expanded on the initial hatred of psychiatry but the basic reason Hubbard was so against it was because when he came up with his garbage tech, he was laughed at and ridiculed by the psychiatric community. And anyone who knows anything about the man know that old father Hubbard was a sensitive fucker with a fragile ego. After his poor feelings were hurt, he went after them with a vengeance.
