After the Santa Fe Railway completed the Grand Canyon Line in 1901,they immediately began selling Easterners on seeing "the wild west" in comfort...even while the wild west was still a bit wild.

By using scenes from their feature-length documentary "Thunder From the Wild West" the producer (Golden Rail Video) created this mini-documentary to preview their fascinating film.

Produced with the co-operation of the Grand Canyon Railway before they retired their daily steam program. Features their entire fleet of steam and 1st generation diesel locomotives are used to help tell the old Santa Fe Ry history. Big Santa Fe steam locomotive #3751 also appears.
