Hindu society's biggest mistake has been to forget that jati/caste is determined not by birth but by karma. The "founder" King of Bharatvarsha Maharaja Bharat even appointed a non-relative as his successor because he judged the crown prince by merit, not birth!

Until Hindus can become meritocratic in the spirit of Maharaj Bharat, we will remain a shadow of our selves.

@brandedadnan Actually Draupadi just showed Karna what his position was, that to the world he is a son of a charioteer (sarathi). Other than Krishna, Bhishma and Kunti at that time, to the world he was the son of a charioteer. Therefore, the women of that time had the choice of marrying whomever they wished. If Draupadi did not wish to marry Karna, then she had the choice of saying no. So if you think about, she really didn't insult him. However, they should have stated that b4 Karna stood up.
