A working bionic eye could be an Australian world first by 2020 if action is taken quickly, leading researchers at the University of New South Wales say. Featuring Professor Nigel Lovell from UNSW's Graduate School of Biomedical Engineering.

If this robotic/bionic eye is a success and can be made and purchased at reasonable prices, being blind for the rest of one's life could be a thing of the past!

Can't wait till I can ditch this bad right eye for something better.

This is only a retinal prosthesis. If you're blind in any other parts, this won't help
