SH5 Menu glitch

Stupid glitch in SH5 menu.
As you can see, the triangle is not mapped to any actions at the beginning, and if you reset the controls back to default at this point it'll reveal that Tri=Map, O=Defense, [] and X = attacks. you'll be safe if you stop meddling with it here.

In this video I tried to remap the actions manually and ends up with X= Accept/Exit function, and the fiddling at the end of the video was me trying to reset the controls back to default, but it exits the menu instead.

This glitch is present throughout the game (controls being reset to the wrong mapping), happens when you enter/exit a new area(via loading screens). You'll notice this rightaway when you try to press O= for dodging but the game opens up the map instead.
