@captzdc The backstory goes that Conniff couldn't get a gig in the music biz after arranging for big bands. He took a job as a laborer. Someone, I think it was Mitch Miller, tracked him down and through some experimentation, Columbia Records came up with the S'Wonderful arrangements.
