Ah,but much of the time I have recorded my own movements so the computer is simply reproducing me. My ghost is moving the machine, so to speak. I record one motif, then the computer takes over and moves my machine for the other 11 copies. My body thanks me for that.
When I do buy patterns, I still have the same creative input as pre-computer, deciding where to put the patterns and customizing them for the quilt - the computer simply takes away the hard work of actually moving the machine.
To me, IMO, this just isnt' real quilting.
It's using a machine and a computer, to follow pre programmed software information.
