Large crowds march near the Eiffel Tower in Paris towards the wall of peace.
A moving and peaceful gathering. A cry for human rights and justice for the Tibetan people.

  • In old Tibet before 1950, 88 percent of Tibeten people were born as slaves. Slaves didn't belong to themselves, they belong to their slave masters who occupied 5% of Tibeten population at that time. Slaves could be sold, bought, abused at the will of their masters!

I admire Lincoln, the greatest former US president because he abolished the slave system in Southern America. Lincoln is always the hero in my heart.

Those Chinese who abolished the slave system in Tibet in 1950s are heros either!

  • You mean the Chinese that tortured and killed Tibetans are heroes to you. Pure concentrated Chinese propaganda.

In China obviously propaganda has it's effect but elsewhere in the world China is embarrassing itself trying to use that same old propaganda to convince the world of the wrongs they did. So keep the propaganda coming the more you try to spread it the more China gets ridiculed and exposed.

  • Free Tibet from barbarians

  • The Chinese should see that it is in their best interest to work with the Dalai Lama to assure the identity and cultural integrity of Tibet, to resolve the concerns of the Tibetan people and to take meaningful steps to build the foundation for a legitimate solution for Tibet, recognizing genuine Tibetan autonomy within China. USA President Barack Obama

  • People go to Lhasa to see the Chinese Communist Party invaders.

Go to Lhasa and see a small chinese city.

  • Pissed off? Why? I chose to come to France to learn the language and the culture and pay thousands of euros in the process. You should be honoured and happy people chose France to come and so some studying.

I came just before the pro Tibet (anti China) prtests but I probably would have had second thoughts if I came after.

"French e just hypocrites"...you know what I mean, the French protstors. I'm not going to be exactly politically correct here online.

  • You said "French are just hypocrites" now you say "French who support Tibetan independence movements"... that's better.

I'm still pissed off when foreigners write stuff against all the french people... but who chose to come here. I just think it's not very respectfull.

  • Of course not, but the percentage of French who support Tibetan independence movements is comparitively a lot larger than many countries that are a lot more informed. I actually live/study in Paris now and I've seen so so many of these protests, and its just really stupid...seeing a bunch of French goons and thugs with bandanas around their head marching down the street thinking they're Tibetan lol ( no offence).

But ya, u get me..I'm just trying to point out some of the hypocrisy =)

  • You didn't thought that people we see protesting don't represent all the french people? They are far left activists who hate the new capitalist regime of China.

  • French are just hypocrites, they talk about cultural genocide in China and forced integration, but you forget your own government is the biggest enforcer of integration, wiping out minority cultures and even totatally extinguishing languages, in comparison to China's Tibet, where the government there is actively promoting the Tibetan culture and language.

  • are u just ignorant or brain - retarded, tibet is one of the most popular holiday destinations in china along with yunnan province.

  • China does not allow people to set foot in Tibet...
