Evidently you haven't listened to Hugh very much.

Well ive not heard either of thesed guys sing before...so i went back and listened to a video that said Bob Guiney was singing it.............both sound exactly the same........so SOMEONE is WRONG!!!!

Yep this is his american accent. If you look up Hugh singing it with Stephen Fry you hear a little difference since that one has his true accent:) Hugh be awesome.

I love the rendation of this song. Hugh is an awesome singer. :)
-
@ridgemont01 wow - I love his singing - just watched a programme where he is singing and playing piano in New Orleans -with all the great blues musicians, and now all this information - what a talented man he is :)

@acrankieperson Have you got no ears?
-
You can tell it's Hugh listen to the way he says S

To TnseWlms: Uh, check out Cab Calloway, who did what I think is the original. He was famous for Hi-Dee-Hi-D-Hi...Ho-de-Ho-do Ho. It was a vocal rift, man. Danny Kaye also did a great version w/his impressive double-speak. Hi-Ho by itself sounds like the Seven Dwarfs!
@acrankieperson No you're wrong..It is Hugh Laurie singing. If you watch the making of video of this song u can see that Hugh is the lead singer in this song..And the vocals here SOUND like him and NOTHING like Bob...And yes I know what I'm talking about

Awesome version of "Minnie the Moocher". But I prefer the version with Hugh singing the lead, and Stephen Fry providing back-up vocals: "Ho-dee-do-dee-ho, sir." XD
