Cybert - our autonomous home robot

Cybert is an autonomous home robot built on the Cye platform from Probotics. I added a head, a voice, some additional sensors, and programmed it to wake us up in the morning!

I made a number of improvements but lost my hard drive before I could get another video.

Cybert uses ded-reckoning for his basic navigation... which is why he needs to check in at the wall (by bumping into it) to verify his position.

Before my hard drive crashed I added (not on the video):

1. Increased his movement speed by about 50%.

2. Changed to a more "playful" synthesized voice.

3. Programmed him to "knock" on my daughter's door 3 times, then wait for the door to open.

I have a cye in my class, ubt it doesnt talk it just beeps a little like R2-D2. nice cye i might get one for my house also :)
