@argh1989 Its because its and Off road car not a rally car, the surface these cars race on is generally bumpy and uneven, and pulling back on the shifter isnt always easy when your being thrown around in the car, therfore its easier to shift up by pushing it upwards, even if the car takes a bump you shouldnt miss a shift :-)

Is anyone else annoyed by the shifting? :D I've never seen a racecar sequential before thats stick had to be pushed forward to shift up. Watching him change gears makes my brain "w... wait, what just happened?" ^^

@siman87 I think you will find that this Metro has a 3litre BMW engine in the back.

It's a V6 engine mate!!!
I don't know if they tuned it but it has i think 420 bhp.
6R4 stands for: 6 cylinder mounted in the rear and 4 wheel drive
