yes but the old facade had nicer figure's and it was a lovely lasting memory of Tom Varley with his paintings around the pipework

Well done you managed to Catch the Rodeo Switchback at the beginning of the Video, it was the rides 1st outing since being rescued from the united states, where it was going to be burn't, I was only 17 myself when we took the ride out for the 1st time, so its nice to see someone captured the year, I guess you may know by now the ride is in a museum in cornwall now,

Hi David
Thank you for your comments.
Just checked out your profile page WOW! Very impressive. You've done all that and at 15 years old. Well done! I think you make have, the, like all things mechanical bug like me.
I took this video for camera practice at the time 1984. The camera and recorder was a huge great heavy thing. Stand in one place to long and I would sink into the ground.
Great! keep up the good work

I was at this show as a 16 year old in 1984! Memories, memories..... Good to hear traditional Dorset accents which are now sadly disappearing. Most people seem to have adopted a sort of general southern accent which is indistinct all along the south coast which is a shame.

I can't believe its nearly 25 years ago since I filmed this steam ralley, seams like a couple of years. As for traditional accents. I think like me, we moved around so much at an early age we never picked up an accent. Sign of the times I suppose.
