actually the last reported sites of him were in 1956 in texas once in 1986 in london and again in 1997 even today there are small reports of things that match the description of spring heeled jack.

@JESSIEEDSELL21 He has been reported in different countries but most reports were in England, I think this was mainly because people were coming for new lives in England, also report in America at the same time period.

@28680jim Maybe he was a 'distraction' whilst something else was going on? It does all seem designed to catch the eye. It would be interesting to see what else happened on the days he was sighted.

@HighgateSamphire certainly fascinating and unsolved mystery,the Highgate Vampire was said to have been triggered by modern day satanic cult who brought him back by rituals or something ? he was supposed to have come from romania,many strange sightings .. very strange.

@gentle7ways7 whatever SHJ was it was fascinating. The thing is he bears a resemblence to a variety of other strange types. The Highgate Vampire form which I partly took my name for one. Glowing red eyes seems to be the ever present feature of the accounts.

@HighgateSamphire the animal sensed the dead body and wouldn't budge an inch,its detected something very evil and something unexpected from its daily travels, yes it would have been hard to get away without being noticed,he may have the means to escape by other methods :)

@HighgateSamphire yes the double event was srange because he caused a rift between two police constabularies killing on both patches,weather he intended this i don't know? he was sending a message to the establishment,attacking both his women Victims and the powers to be,although i get the impression they were being punished.

@HighgateSamphire yes the goulston street graffiti,it may not have been the killer that wrote that he most likely just threw the blooded hankerchief down at that spot nobody can be 100% certain ,there was alot of anti semitic expletives verbal and in writing at that time as the general consensus (because of leather apron suspect etc) you right about mitre square and other location it was suppose to echo loudly and the police routinely patrolled that spot every 10-15 minutes,he killed in silence

@gentle7ways7 Very true, but there was an interesting bit of writing, literally 'on the wall' in the JTR case which was a cry for attention. It was scrubbed out as soon as it was seen and confined to history. However, I think SHJ's claws would prohibit him picking up a piece of chalk. Nobody heard running through Mitre Square either I think that's factual, but I'm not sure. It would add to the paranormal aspect as he did travel through there, I believe.

@HighgateSamphire the letters may have been fake,not sent by JTR at all,just media or hoaxers creating ripper fervor and making the police investigation a nightmare,in reality serial killers don't do that its usually subtle in other ways that appeals to there dark sense of humour,agreed SHJ would certainly fit with his metal claws and dark attire interestingly he attacked aslop woman in a frenzy not unlike lust killers certainly a ripper type attack.
