  • the lamp may work if you flip it around as only one filament needs to work

  • @force311999 i already tried it. the bulb was nearing EOL. anyway those bulbs that you sent me with it. are in my collection as they are vintage. do you know where this fixture came from?

  • @dieselducy old hardware store built in the 50s then put in closet at home in 1984

removed this year as I redid off lighting in house to save electric ans went all to t8

    electronic for power savings.

the electric is vary expensive hear and I got a bunch of ballasts from work 3 years old that were in a store upgrade and the store got gutted and I snagged the lights and redid 10 Troffers and replaced all lamps with CFLs

  • @force311999 so those bulbs you sent me? did they see much use? There is literally NO blackening on them.

  • @force311999 also what is the name of the style of this fixture?

  • thanx it worked ;-)

  • @dieselducy oh wow i have a fixture that can hold the same bulb. awesome!

  • I never turn off the light when changing bulbs LOL

  • I like your starters you use, you can see the light inside when it turns on! :D

  • I don't know why, but I've always loved the sound of those starters. I do not, however, like the icky, cold light of those 5000 K lamps.

  • The GE EOL lamp has some seriously small

electrode cathodes, compared to most GE

    fluorescent tubes.

  • So your house is mainly wood floors? My aunt's in Webster Groves was like that. Love the tutorial though.

  • @dieselducy I don,t know I would call it a 1/4 piper

  • @georgef551 I was thinking the standard Troffers that are in office ceilings

  • @force311999

Yes, that's true, but we have a wonky 3-bulb system, and the ballast channel is in the middle.

  • @georgef551 they go in easy if you do 2 lamps at the same time

  • @TheCatthaddaeus it had to be recycled

  • You turn the bulbs 90 degrees, not 45.

The drop-ceiling fixtures are much more "fun" to do, with the weird angles you got to insert the bulbs to get past the lens's frame.

  • Cool !

  • yay!! u brought back the light bulb changing videos back!!, change both of the bulbs so they would look better with the same color

  • I've actually needed this information before...

  • did you put the burn out light bulb in the trash.

  • It's trying so hard to come on!

  • what is taht citificet leaning aginst your wall for?

  • Damn nice camera
