Shooting and showing a .303 British Enfield Rifle ( No. 4 Mark II )
Actually, thanks to a viewer, I was able to see that this Enfield was made in Feb of 1954. I thought it was older than that. Doesn't really matter, though. I like it.

  • Every time I see how good your rifle looks it makes me sick. I can't find one in that good of shape :(

  • Is that thing smaller than the standard No 4? or are you just a huge guy? lol

  • My Dad had a sniper version, with a 28" barrel, and long range sights. It was a very old model, possibly pre WW1. He could hit a deer at close to 300 yards, with the open sights. They were very common in Canada, as they were sold through army surplus, and very few British folks own firearms. I bought a "Jungle Carbine" recently. They have a short barrel and flash suppressor. Used against the Japanese in Burma, etc. Not too accurate, but fun.

  • Just bought one of these masterpieces for 140 dollars!

  • I used to shoot the 303 when I was ca. 9 yrs. old... at Thetford (UK)

My father shot at Bisley's Queen's cup ....best shot at 1000 yards 49/50.

    ... without a telescope !

The rifle rounds are filled with thin cordite rods ... are they still made today ?

Yes, you are right , it's a beautiful rifle .

  • @AAfireworks what about those fancy flintlock dueling pistols with engravings and stuff?

  • While we were putting magazine disconnectors on 1903s to keep our GIs from wasting ammo with their high-capacity 5 round magazines the British were using 10rounders in WWI. Combined with that nice bolt they carried twice the firepower of a Mauser, Mosin, Springfield, or M1917 (which would hold 6 but was loaded from 5 round clips).

  • Hey, what kind of ammo would you recomend me get, and where

  • it was made in the 1940s but they made them for a long time after

  • I love this video - lee enfields are amazing. just letting you know that when you say "no4 mk2 f [sic]" the "F" isn't a model number it is short for "fazakerley" which is the name of the factory where the rifle was made. I believe Fazakerley is in Liverpool.
