Japanese horror film directed by Kei Horie (2004)

A group of teenagers unleash a curse when they use haunted public lockers in Shibuya. Supposedly, if you leave a gift in one of the lockers you will be lucky in love. However, the results are anything but lucky as a creepy female ghost with long black hair soon shows up to kill them off one by one.

@zikten It's because all scary ghosts are like that. They just take their anger out on whoever is unlucky enough to meet them. I'd recommend anger management classes for them, but I'd be afraid to meet them. I mean, sure, most of them have really good reasons to be angry and feel helpless. They only have so many way to communicate, and these ghosts just let their emotions take over.

@eroupopper Also, when you choose long, black hair it fits better in a horror film. Just about every horror film I've watched, which would be from the US, Japan, and Korea, choose to have someone with very dark hair, because colors like black and red are used to show that something is evil.

@eroupopper I'm pretty sure that in Japan there are a lot of people with black hair. When you have a lot of people with black hair having children, the children tend to also have black hair. Like, if I married a guy with brown hair, our kids would probably have brown hair.

@eroupopper Why they almost only have girls with long black hair? I don't remember what it is called, but that sort of woman are a part of Japanese urban legends. The ghost/demon women with long black hair is something very scary for them.

@eroupopper Its a cultural thing.

its part of their legends and stuff, they usually wear white because thats the colour of the funeral robes that are traditional in japan. The long black unkempt hair is just a representation of the fact that they have died and can no longer cut or brush it haha also it wouldnt be blonde because that just doesnt happen to hair in asia. Japanese women traditionally grew their hair long and wore it pinned up, and it was let down for the funeral and burial.

@windiesman omg. i have just been in tokyo last month! and i used a locker. good thing it was in shinjuku! oh gosh.. this movie is traumatic!
